CHEESELINKS JANUARY SALE 2009 -

To celebrate the new year, we have decide to make certain products from our commercial range available for home cheesemakers at heavily reduced prices, with matting and shelving available up to 70% off the regular price.

Matting and shelving options - used for draining curd and storing cheese during maturation:

  • Matting P00729 used to be $50 per metre, while stocks last we are selling it for only $10 per half metre piece. (Sold by the half metre - minimum purchase 0.5m)
  • Matting P00676 used to be $50 per metre, now only $12.50 per half metre piece while stocks last. (Minimum purchase 0.5m)
  • Matting pieces P00725 -110cm x 66cm single piece - heavy duty ideal for storage - usually $58 per piece, now $45 per piece
  • Shelving pieces - perfect for storing cheeses during maturation as the strategically placed holes ensure air flow around the cheeses. Formerly $10 per piece, now only $5.

SPECIAL - LOCALLY MANUFACTURED RICOTTA BASKETS - ONLY 50c EACH!!! Only while stocks last. We have uncovered an old pile of baskets in the back of our warehouse - we really want to sell them so we can use the space, so we are offering them at the discount price of only 50c each. They are not our usual imported baskets from Italy. The holes for draining are in the sides, not in the bottom, like the imported baskets. But we've tested them out and they work well as ricotta baskets, so for 50 cents each we think they are a bargain. They can be bought here at our online store.

NEW STAFF PHOTO - Our 2009 staff photo has just been uploaded to the web - so if you want to put a face to the name that you always talk to when placing your orders by phone, check out the following photo here.

CHEESE PRESSES COMING SOON!

Cheese presses are nearly here! We've been hard at work modifying our design to make a cheese press that would be compatible with our range of baskets, and after years of experimenting and hundreds of cheeses later, we're really happy with our current press. With extra height, you can press up to six cheeses at once, but it works just as well if you are only pressing single cheeses. With three different positions for the posts, the press can be adjusted when pressing different sized cheeses. The posts hug the baskets, meaning that the cheeses cannot topple over during pressing, which has been a typical problem with this style of cheese press that we have eliminated with our new design. And you can manually adjust the pressure by placing however much weight on top you need! Email us for more details about our cheese presses here.

Yoghurt Kits are now available, a perfect gift just in time for Christmas! You can buy them online here!

Only two places left in Little River Mozzarella Workshop, Friday January 30th

We only have two places left in the Mozzarella Workshop Friday January 30th. The workshops are great fun, with lots of fun and laughter as we stretch the curd to make that perfect Mozzarella! Participants also make Halloumi and Ricotta. Mozzarella is widely regarded as one of the most difficult cheeses to master, so if you only do one workshop with Cheeselinks, make it a Mozzarella workshop! Contact us as soon as possible if you wish to be one of the last two people attending this workshop!
